    This is a good solid product for sure, but if you want to hang it off your backpack as shown and detailed in the description, go buy another product. It's quite obvious this product is a standard shell that is sold to many vendors who add their own logo and detailing around the shell. THIS one really blew it when it came to those who want to use carabiners or ring loops!

    This product is HEAVY, so the super-thin wrist-type loop hanging off the edge is not adequate or safe to use to connect to a carabiner for your backpack. It swings about like crazy and isn't going to hold. In the product picture, it shows what it calls a 'hanging ring', which...it's clearly not and has no function as you can't thread an actually hanging ring off it.

    There are plenty of other vendors/brands who've used the same shell but actually, built-in fabric rings so you can easily attach a carabiner or loops for a hanging ring, so you can clip it securely to your backpack...this one doesn't. If that's not an issue for you, you'll be fine, but I purchased mine so I could hang it off the outside without taking up space inside...why else buy something that's waterproof and dust proof right, that comes with a carabiner and wrist loop? #sigh

    When we opened the box, we clicked the button to check the flashlight. We didn't charge it, plug it in, or anything and the light came right on and the battery life was 3 out of 4 lights. At first we were quite pleased. Then my son touched the lightning cable...and burned his finger!!!! No lie, it was so hot that the sheathing for the lightning cable began melting, and we couldn't stop it! None of the other connections were like this, only the lightning cable. The only option was to request a replacement and we had to box this one up. We put it back in the original box, with the plastic wrap, and even the plastic wrap melted, so we left it all open for awhile. Finally, the scalding heat went away. Not sure if the pack discharged or what, but when it was no longer hot we packaged it back up. It's now in UPS's possession, and we hope it doesn't start a fire or explode.
